There is no support queue and no chatbot. Email help@ya.la and a person will reply.
I’m not getting my sign-in code
The code arrives by text and can take a minute. Check the number you typed, including the country code. If it still does not arrive, your network may be blocking short-code messages — email us and we can check whether it was sent.
I want to delete my account
Open the app, go to You, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete your account. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone. You do not need to ask us.
It removes your profile, your circles, your plans and their chats, and your direct messages. Messages you sent in other people’s group chats stay in those chats without your name attached — see the privacy page for why.
Someone is behaving badly
Hold down their message and choose Report, or use the flag on a plan or a name. You can block them from the same screen. Reports reach a person and are acted on within 24 hours.
If somebody is in danger, contact the police first. Then email help@ya.la so we can act on it straight away.
I’m not on Yala and I want my details removed
If a friend added you to a circle before you joined, Yala holds a scrambled version of your number and the name they have you saved under, so you land in the right place if you ever sign up. It is deleted automatically after 90 days. To have it removed now, email privacy@ya.la from — or naming — that number.
